God's Design for Family Life

God has a design for your marriage and family.  His plan begins with reshaping you.  We will be discovering Biblical wisdom and practical insights that will help you strengthen your marriage and raise your children.

Please do not skip this series if you are single!  I promise there is something for you in each of the four messages.  For this reason - if you are a Christian, your calling is to live out the Gospel, and marriage and family life are simply one place some are called to do that.  Ephesians 5, probably the best known passage in the Bible about marriage, begins with a message for everybody!

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.  (5:1-2)

Whether you are married, single, widowed or divorced, the will of God is the same for all followers of Christ – to live a life of love.  No one is excluded, and you will find throughout this series themes that the Lord will use to speak into your life and experience as you help build God's family on earth! 

If you feel that you have been a failure as a husband or a wife or a parent, you may be tempted not to bother with this teaching.  Let me give you this promise.  The purpose of this series is not to pile on guilt over your failures in marriage or parenting.  God’s purpose is always to bring us into hope!  God reaches out to all people in the Gospel.  Nobody will be excluded and every person, no matter their situation, will be brought to hope in Jesus!
