It is our goal and purpose to come alongside parents and to help introduce children to the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We do this by sharing our love for the Lord and His word. We not only share God’s Word, but also what He has done in our lives. We know Jesus holds a special place in His heart for children and so do we.
Nurseries
Infants (up to 18 Months Old)
Our nursery is well equipped, safe and friendly. Our volunteers love to hold and cuddle the babies. A child’s view of church life begins as they experience love and develop trust as infants.
Toddlers (18 - 36 Months Old)
In our Toddler's Nursery babies who are toddling around up through the age of two have fun playing with toys and being active while our volunteers share God’s love with them and help them learn to enjoy the goodness of God.
Sunday School Classes There are age/grade-appropriate classes offered at Living Hope. The classes meet at Keswick Library and other classrooms around the campus. The kids remain in the Sunday service with their parents until they are dismissed to their classes after worship and prayer. Parents also have the option of having their children remain in the service with them if they choose.
We currently offer the following classes:
Preschool (ages three to five)
In the preschool class, children discover God’s world and learn to honor Him.
First - Fifth grade
Procedures
The following procedures have been developed to ensure the safety of our children.
Children attending any of our classes must be registered. Where you register your child depends on their age:
Nursery,Toddlers and Preschool - Register directly in the classrooms.
Sunday School Classes - Register your child at the "Kids With a Hope" ministry information table in the lobby.
After prayer, the children will be dismissed to walk with their teacher to class. Parents pick up their children after the service in their class.
Paging System
All children must be registered by their parent or guardian. When you sign them in, you will be assigned a pager. This system will ensure that the child is leaving with the correct person at the end of class. We will also use the pager to contact you if your child needs you for any reason. We generally page a parent for the following reasons:
Persistent crying; inconsolable
Sickness
Behavior Issues
Safety
When you pick your child up at their Sunday School classrooms, you will need to give the teacher your pager and sign the child out. While this safety tip is mostly for newcomers, it offers an added layer of protection for our children.
In the event of an emergency in which the facility needs to be evacuated, please DO NOT try to pick up your child. We have evacuation procedures for all classes. You will be able to meet your child at the designated evacuation area, the FOOTBALL FIELD. This is for everyone’s safety.
If you would like to volunteer in one of our children's classes, please contact: Kendra O'Connor 727-865-6655 or email: kendra.oconnor@lhccop.org
